Archives/Special Collections

The Library's Archives are located in L261 and consists of three main components: the University Archives; Special Collections; and the Faculty Publications File.  These collections are available for use during the day, Monday-Friday, but call first (209-667-3233) to insure that someone will be available to assist you.

University Archives contains materials from all sectors of the Stanislaus State community for the study of the institution's history since its inception in 1957.  The collection includes campus catalogs, yearbooks, press releases, department periodicals, the student newspaper, curriculum materials, faculty and administration documents, and photographs.  The University Archive is available during the day, Monday-Friday, but call first (209-667-3233) to insure that someone will be available to assist you.

The Special Collections section includes the Dias Photographic Collection, the Sayad Assyrian Theological Collection, and the Stanislaus County and Cities History Collection.  The Dias Photographic Collection contains photographs on Portuguese culture and historical aerial photographs of Stanislaus County.  The Special Collections section is available during the day, Monday-Friday, but call first (209-667-3233) to insure that someone will be available to assist you.

The Faculty Publications File contains publications of campus faculty mostly from 1960-1990.  The file is not comprehensive but includes representative publications of some faculty.  The collection is available during the day, Monday-Friday, but call first (209-667-3233) to insure that someone will be available to assist you.
