If you want to search more than one search engine at the same time, this category is for you. One request is simultaneously conducted in several search engines. Beware, though, of limitations. The search may be slower, and the search cannot be customized to a specific search engine. For "quick" results, this can be helpful. Also good for distinctive words or phrases.

• SavvySearch (http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~dreiling/smartform.html): A meta-search tool that targets more than just comprehensive Web navigators. Search, with experimental interface, Web indexes, Web directories, Usenet News, people, software, reference, entertainment, technical reports. Search each category separately. Has no commercial support; so may be slow at times.
