Introduction

Recent studies by Donald L. McCabe of Rutgers University and other researchers indicate an increase in plagiarism and cheating among college and high school students (as cited in Bass, 2001; Center for Academic Integrity, 2002). Since the Internet is well-known as the primary culprit for plagiarism, this page addresses other sources used by students to cheat/plagiarize, techniques to avoid plagiarism, detection services, copyright information, and a bibliography. Only selected sources are given in each category as no attempt has been made to be comprehensive.
